Outer backs our product with our unrivaled limited warranty, protecting our products for up to 10 years. However, life outside can be unpredictable and accidents do happen. Outer is proud to partner with Clyde to offer protection for your new furniture to keep you ahead of life’s little mishaps.
1. What’s included in the Clyde Protection Plan?
The Clyde Protection Plan covers:
- Accidental damage during the warranty period.
- Repair or replacement due to wear and tear not covered by Outer’s limited warranty.
- Repairs at no additional cost for approved claims.
- Reimbursement or replacement if your product cannot be repaired.
- Repairs at no additional cost for approved claims.
2. What is not included in the Clyde Protection Plan?
The Clyde Protection Plan does not cover:
- Repairs at no additional cost for approved claims.
- Loss or theft.
- Damage caused by or during the delivery process.
- Manufacturer defects covered by Outer’s Limited Warranty.
- Other exclusions apply (see T&C’s).

4. When does the Clyde Protection Plan begin and end?
The Clyde Protection Plan begins when your new Outer product is delivered. The plan will be in effect starting on the delivery date and will protect against accidents for the duration of your selected plan term.
5. Do I qualify for Clyde Protection Plan options?
The Clyde Protection Plan is available to you if all of the following are true:
- You are a customer in the United States of America (excluding territories).
- You purchased your product directly from our website.
- You are within the first 60 days from the date of purchase.
6. When are you ineligible to purchase a Clyde Protection Plan?
- Customers cannot purchase a Protection Plan after a breakdown occurs.
- If the product is not eligible for a protection plan.
7. Are all Outer products covered by a Clyde Protection Plan?
Outer’s full catalog is eligible for Clyde Protection Plan coverage with the exception of our rugs.
8. How do I purchase a Clyde Protection Plan?
There are three ways to add a Clyde Protection Plan to your product:
- From Outer’s website – You can choose the Clyde Protection Plan option at checkout when purchasing your product.
- Through the link in the post-purchase email if you chose not to purchase at the time of initial purchase.
- Directly from Clyde’s customer portal, HiClyde.com – It will be necessary to create a Clyde account in order to purchase a plan this way. You must use the same email address that was used when purchasing your product from Outer when creating an account to link to your Outer sales order.
9. How can I file a claim?
To file a claim on hiclyde.com, you have two options:
- By logging in to your account and selecting the corresponding product.
- As a guest using the contract ID found on your welcome email.
10. Can I file multiple claims?
Yes, you can file multiple claims using your Clyde Protection Plan during the course of the contract’s term. You are covered for multiple repairs up to the value of the original product purchase price. If your claim is approved for a full reimbursement or replacement product, then your contract is fulfilled. You will have the option to purchase a new protection plan for your replacement on hiclyde.com.
11. Is there a deductible?
There are no deductibles.
12. Is the Clyde Protection Plan transferable?
Yes, this Clyde Protection Plan may be transferred to any person in the United States. To initiate the transfer of a Clyde Protection Plan, contact Clyde at protection@hiclyde.com.
13. Does the Clyde Protection Plan provide coverage for theft or loss?
No, this Clyde Protection Plan does not cover for loss or theft.
14. Can the Clyde Protection Plan be canceled?
Yes, plans may be canceled via contacting protection@hiclyde.com. See terms and conditions for details.
15. Is there a limit on the plan’s protection value?
The replacement value for products is limited to the original retail value of the protected products.
16. Can I cover more than one item with a single Clyde plan?
Each item in your cart must have its own plan to be protected. As an example, if two products are added to cart but only one plan is purchased, only the product associated with the added plan will be covered.
