I moved from Canada to Florida in 2017. I do sales and business development for a North American consumer products company. I own a property development company which reinvigorates dilapidated homes for resale. I enjoy golf, tennis, bike riding, caring for my 1000 gallon fish tank, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Our terrazzo patio backs out into a 60-acre lake. We built the patio to extend and link the inside of the house with the outdoors. The patio has an outdoor shower, a sundeck with a 2-person hammock, Sylvester Palms and Birds of Paradise landscaping, and a pool. For lounging and entertaining, there’s a large, screened lanai with a covered roof section which houses our Outer seating, a gas fire table, and a 55” TV Screen. We also have an outdoor custom kitchen with an XXL limited-edition Big Green Egg and an eating area accommodating four people. When you walk outside, you forget the day. You feel like you’re at your own personal resort on a spectacular staycation. The raised design of the Outer seating adds depth and makes our space appear bigger. Outer allowed us to create an outdoor family room. We love watching a movie on our 55” screen with the coffee fire table going. My kids no longer want to have movie night inside. We enjoy having friends over for an afternoon and evening, the Big Green Egg going all day with the smell of the wood, cooking food, swimming and chilling on our Outer seating. You never need to go inside.
