When people visit, we invite them to wake up early and catch the sunrise over the NYC skyline. There is nothing like it! In the evenings, the lights are absolutely gorgeous and we enjoy seeing what occasion the Empire State building is lit up for each night. Our space feels close to the city and yet also like a relaxing and quiet neighborhood. When it’s just the two of us, an evening glass of wine or even a nice nap up there is wonderful, as we can both stretch out on our Wicker 6-Piece L Sectional. This also means it’s big enough for family/friends to gather around a nice charcuterie spread. We have dinner up there many nights. Our dog stands on the stairs and demands to be let up on the roof at least a couple times per day. We finally got a screen door so he could go in and out on his own. He loves to bask in the sun and monitor all of the neighbors dogs from his perch. I work in PR and Rob works in the music industry. When we're not working, we enjoy farmer's market runs, cooking, traveling, doing projects around the house, spoiling our boy (dog) with long walks in our new neighborhood, and generally enjoying life with friends and family. We both attended Syracuse University — go Orange! — and are big college basketball fans. We have about 25 houseplants and are slowly trying to cultivate our "outdoor" green thumb now that we have our first home. Rob is also a marathoner and once convinced me to run the NYC marathon with him, which was an amazing experience I will do once and once only! :) We also love all games (board, cards, dice, Nintendo, etc!) and play often with friends and family.
