Outer Launches in Australia!

We're helping to bring life outside Down Under, just in time for Australian summer

We're incredibly excited to announce that as of today, Outer has expanded internationally, to our first stop, Australia! Over the last 24 months, as people sought sanctuary in their own outdoor spaces, we've experienced a rocketship of demand for our sophisticated, durable, and sustainable outdoor living products. And now, just in time for Australian summer, we're heading Down Under.

Despite a climate that allows for outdoor living year round, Aussies spend a whopping 90 per cent of their time indoors. That's where our founders, Jiake Liu and Terry Lin, step in: they're on a mission to bring back the joy of spending quality time outside.

"Since Terry and I co-founded Outer in 2018, every choice we’ve made, from our product innovations to our shopping experience, has been to improve the lives of our customers. We saw a stale industry ripe for innovation, and we wanted to create sustainable furniture that made it easier to live life outside.

We want consumers to spend less time worrying about their outdoor furniture and more time enjoying it.  We’re thrilled to help Aussies relax and enjoy entertaining friends and family this summer," Jake said.

Terry agrees: “Outer was designed to help people gather and create lasting memories outside. After 18 months of grappling with a global pandemic, these opportunities to connect feel more precious than ever. We are excited to formally introduce Outer to Australians, and to give people an opportunity to reconnect and enjoy the outdoors.”

Our full range of products, including our classic All-Weather Wicker, timeless Teak, and sleek Aluminum sofas, sectionals, and chairs are now available in Australia.
