What is OuterShell®?
OuterShell® is Outer’s patented, built-in outdoor furniture cover. Integrated directly into the cushion, it rolls over in seconds to help protect against morning dew, light rain, pollen, dust, leaves, and everyday debris. A built-in handle also makes the cushion easier to carry and store when needed.
Is OuterShell® waterproof?
OuterShell® is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. It is designed for everyday protection from dew and light-to-moderate rain. During prolonged rain, severe storms, heavy snow, or seasonal storage, use an All-Weather Cover or move the cushions to a protected area.
Do I still need an All-Weather Cover?
OuterShell® handles quick, everyday protection between uses. An All-Weather Cover adds to full-furniture protection during heavier rain, snow, wind, extended travel, and long periods of non-use. Used together, they provide different levels of protection for changing outdoor conditions.
How do I clean and dry the OuterShell®?
Remove loose debris, then clean the OuterShell® with lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air-dry completely before rolling or storing it. Do not machine wash the OuterShell®, as it contains an integrated aluminum support rod.
If the cushions become wet, uncover them and stand them on their sides to improve airflow until they are completely dry.
