- Fire Pit Table. The Fire Pit Table body (around the burner pan) is made from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete. This surface should require little maintenance but may need periodic cleaning. Using a soft sponge or soft cloth and a bucket of warm, soapy water (diluted dishwashing detergent), carefully wet the dirty section of the base, and allow the solution to sit for a couple of minutes before wiping the surface clean with the sponge or cloth.
- Ceramic Spheres. Minor carbon deposits resulting from combustion are natural and add to the beauty of the set. If carbon becomes excessive it can be lightly brushed or vacuumed away.
- Griddle Pan. After the griddle pan has completely cooled, use a soft sponge to clean with warm, soapy water, and rinse well. Do not allow it to drip dry as cast iron can rust if left wet for too long. To maintain the griddle pan’s seasoning, rub a very light layer of cooking oil on the surface and wipe clean with a paper towel.
- Splatter Guard. Hand wash with warm, soapy water or wash in your dishwasher. Use a gentle brush for tough stains. Dry thoroughly before storing indoors.
- Propane Tank Cover. Wet the dirty area with a solution made from equal parts of gentle detergent and water. Allow the solution to sit on the surface for 2 minutes and then wipe with a soft cloth.

What people are saying
Frequently Asked Questions
You've got questions and we've got answers.
Can I use the Fire Pit Table for cooking if I don’t have the Outer griddles?
The Outer Fire Pit Table should only be used for cooking with Outer cooking accessories such as our griddle pan and stands. To order the cooking accessories, reach out to a Product Specialist.
Is the Fire Pit Table compatible with a direct natural gas line hookup?
The Outer Fire Pit Table is available in two configurations, one for liquid propane gas (LPG), one for natural gas (NG). The natural gas configuration is compatible with a direct natural gas line hookup.
What type of propane tank should I use with my Fire Pit Table?
The liquid propane gas Outer Fire Pit Table is configured only for use with a 20 lb. LPG cylinder. The propane tank is not included, but they are readily available from local hardware stores.
The natural gas Outer Fire Pit Table is not compatible with any type of propane gas.
How should I care for my Fire Pit Table and accessories?
Check out our Care & Maintenance Page. Complete care and safety instructions are included in your user manual.
Can I use my Fire Pit Table indoors?
The Fire Pit Table is intended for outdoor enjoyment only. Do not use indoors.
What do I do if I am experiencing delayed ignition?
If you are experiencing delayed ignition, the problem is most likely the result of one of the following issues- low gas pressure, clogged burner ports, or ignition failure. You may reference this instructional video that will guide you on how to resolve these potential issues in 3 easy steps.
Where can I install my Fire Pit Table?
The Fire Pit Table should be installed by a qualified service professional and must be installed outside, on a flat, stable surface away from any combustible materials, and at least 4 feet (48 in.) away from any building structure or plants. The unit should not be installed on dirt or grass. A concrete or slate patio surface is ideal, but the unit may be installed on a wooden deck.
Be sure to install the Fire Pit Table outside in a fully vented area with no overhang or trees within 6 feet (72 in.) above the unit. The Fire Pit Table creates a controlled open-flame, so use common sense when positioning. The Fire Pit Table needs to “breathe” during operation and pulls air in through vents located along the bottom edge. Avoid placing anything up against the sides of the unit that could block air to these vents.
Is the Concrete Fire Pit Table heavy?
The Fire Pit Table is composed of relatively lightweight Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) with a metal frame. The Rectangular table weighs approximately 165 lbs, and the Round table weighs approximately 126 lbs. At least two people are needed to move the product.
Can any fire media/materials be used with the Fire Pit Table?
Outer recommends using the ceramic spheres that come with the Fire Pit Table because they help stabilize the flame from wind, and radiate and distribute the heat generated from the flame outwards. However, the burner pan of this Fire Pit Table is designed to use any of a variety of aftermarket media, including lava stones, lava granules, fire glass, and ceramic spheres.
Can a longer hose be used to connect my propane tank to the Fire Pit Table?
An aftermarket longer gas hose may be purchased separately to allow for more distance between the propane tank and the base of the unit.
Will the ceramic spheres change in appearance over time?
Propane gas can produce small amounts of carbon (soot) when burned. This soot can accumulate on the surfaces of the ceramic spheres over time and occasionally flake off, which is normal. Soot can easily be removed by rinsing with water.
How many BTUs does the Fire Pit Table provide?
The Rectangular and Round Fire Pit Tables provide 55,000 BTUs. The Square Fire Pit Table provides 45,000 BTUs. Enough to warm up a larger area.
