Outdoor Coffee & Side Tables That Complete the Space
The right table does more than hold a drink. It helps bring the whole space together. Outer’s outdoor coffee, side, and gathering tables are designed to add function, balance, and a more finished feel to your seating setup. Whether placed beside a lounge chair, between two seats, or at the center of a larger arrangement, these pieces create useful surfaces without interrupting the flow of the space.
Crafted in FSC®-certified teak, aluminum, OuterStone®, and concrete, the collection is built for outdoor living with clean lines, durable materials, and a refined look that works across a range of layouts and styles.
What’s the difference between a coffee table, side table, and gathering table?
A coffee table is best for anchoring a seating area, while a side table adds a smaller, more flexible surface beside a chair, sofa, or chaise. A gathering table sits between the two in both function and height. Outer’s gathering tables are designed to bridge the gap between a coffee table and a dining table, standing 25 to 26 inches tall to pair more naturally with sofa seating and casual dining.
Which material is right for me: teak, aluminum, OuterStone®, or concrete?
Teak is a strong fit if you want natural warmth and FSC® certified wood that ages beautifully over time. Aluminum is a durable, weather-resistant option with a lighter, more modern look. OuterStone® offers a sintered stone surface designed for easy care, with strong resistance to scratches and a scorch-resistant finish. Concrete provides a more substantial look and is made from glass fiber reinforced concrete with a weather-proof sealant.
Can these outdoor tables stay outside year-round?
They are designed for outdoor use. Concrete side tables can be left outside all year. Aluminum is built to be weather-resistant and will not rust, decay, or loosen over time. Teak is also naturally durable outdoors and will gradually develop a silver-gray patina.
How do I clean Outer coffee and side tables?
Care is straightforward but material-specific. Aluminum can be rinsed with a hose and cleaned with mild detergent and warm water. OuterStone® can be wiped with a damp cloth for everyday care or cleaned with warm, soapy water for a deeper refresh. Concrete can be cleaned with equal parts detergent and water using a soft cloth, while teak can be maintained with mild detergent, water, and a bristled brush.
Can I use side tables instead of a coffee table?
Yes. A side table can work well beside a sofa, between two chairs, or at the end of a sectional when you want more flexible surface space. A few Concrete Side Tables can also be grouped together in front of a seating arrangement to serve as a coffee table.
