How do I care for teak furniture?
Teak is easy to maintain. For regular cleaning, use a mild detergent mixed with water and a bristled brush. If you prefer deeper cleaning or want to preserve its original golden color, you can use a teak cleaner like Star Brite Teak Cleaner or Losso’s Teak Cleaner. Does teak furniture need to be treated?
No. Thanks to its natural durability and high oil content, teak doesn’t need to be sealed, treated, or stained. Over time, it will develop a silver-gray patina, which is purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect its strength or longevity. If you prefer to preserve your teak's original golden color, you can use a teak cleaner and brightener like Star Brite Teak Cleaner and brightener. Is your teak sustainably sourced and certified?
Yes. All teak used in our products is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC), the leading authority on sustainable forest management. FSC certification ensures the wood is harvested sustainably from responsibly managed, socially beneficial, and economically viable forests.
Our teak comes from Central Java, where for every tree harvested, three more are planted. A single teak tree can absorb up to 10 kg of carbon annually, helping offset climate change. FSC® N003524.
