- No More Dirty Elbows: One of the biggest barriers to dining outdoors is a dirty tabletop. That’s why all of our dining tables come fitted with an OuterShell® to protect them from dust, dirt, pollen, and other unpleasant side effects of outdoor living. The OuterShell® is made from a durable, water-resistant material that helps keep the table and your elbows clean, season after season.
- Expandable: Designed with a hidden central leaf that extends to fit up to 8-12 people, our versatile tables make it a cinch to seat as many or as few guests as you’d like for outdoor entertaining.
- Comfortable: Unlike other metals, aluminum doesn’t overheat on hot summer days, and the teak tabletop similarly remains at an ambient temperature in all weather.
- Durable: Teak and aluminum are long-lasting, hard-wearing materials that require little maintenance and are proven to stand the test of time in even the harshest outdoor environments.
- Stylish: The combination of Grade A Teak wood and powder-coated aluminum is designed to complement any Outer setup.
- Sustainable: Made from aluminum, one of the easiest materials to recycle at the end of its (long) lifespan and FSC® certified teak. For every tree harvested, three are planted.

Teak Components
- Teak outdoor furniture requires minimal upkeep to maintain its timeless look. While no regular maintenance is necessary, a quick clean with mild detergent and water, using a bristled brush, can remove dirt or debris.
- We recommend giving teak a light cleaning at the end of the season or before storing.
- Over time, teak will naturally develop a beautiful silver-gray patina. This change is purely cosmetic and does not affect the wood's durability. If you prefer to restore its original golden tone or need a deeper clean, visit our Care & Maintenance page for detailed instructions.
Aluminum Components
- For general cleaning, spray or wipe down the frame to remove loose dirt and debris. For a deeper clean, use a soft sponge, mild detergent, and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
Fabrics
- For basic maintenance, Director's Chair sling fabric and chair cushion fabric can be easily spot cleaned with warm water and mild soap.
- Some natural teak oil may transfer to the fabric during every day usage, which is a normal behavior for teak. For more information, check out our Care & Maintenance page.
- While the high oil content in Grade A teak makes it more durable and resilient, the oil can transfer to fabrics when exposed to high humidity or rain, particularly during the first few months. We recommend removing any chairs with fabric components (including our Teak Director’s Chairs) from underneath the table for the first few rainfalls or until the furniture has started to patina.

What people are saying
Frequently Asked Questions
You've got questions and we've got answers.
How do I care for teak furniture?
Teak is easy to maintain. For regular cleaning, use a mild detergent mixed with water and a bristled brush. If you prefer deeper cleaning or want to preserve its original golden color, you can use a teak cleaner like Star Brite Teak Cleaner or Losso’s Teak Cleaner. For more details, refer to our Care & Maintenance Instructions.
Does teak furniture need to be treated?
No. Thanks to its natural durability and high oil content, teak doesn’t need to be sealed, treated, or stained. Over time, it will develop a silver-gray patina, which is purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect its strength or longevity. If you prefer to preserve your teak's original golden color, you can use a teak cleaner and brightener like Star Brite Teak Cleaner and brightener. For more details, refer to our Care & Maintenance Instructions.
Is your teak sustainably sourced and certified?
Yes. All teak used in our products is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC), the leading authority on sustainable forest management. FSC certification ensures the wood is harvested sustainably from responsibly managed, socially beneficial, and economically viable forests.
Our teak comes from Central Java, where for every tree harvested, three more are planted. A single teak tree can absorb up to 10 kg of carbon annually, helping offset climate change. FSC® N003524.
How do I clean teak oil from cushions and fabrics?
While the high oil content in Grade A teak makes it more durable and resilient, the oil can transfer to fabrics when exposed to high humidity or rain, particularly during the first few months.
Sofas and Chairs
When you receive your teak furniture, wipe down all surfaces of the teak, including underneath the frame or table, with soapy water prior to placing the new cushions on top. This will help prevent natural teak oil from staining the cushion fabric. To clean natural teak oil from cushion fabric, quickly combine equal parts dishwashing liquid and warm water on the stain and rinse thoroughly. For more information, please view our complete Care & Maintenance Instructions.
Dining Tables and Chairs
We recommend removing any chairs with fabric components (including our Teak Director’s Chairs) from underneath the Teak + Aluminum Dining Table for the first few rainfalls or until the furniture has started to patina.
How do I keep the Dining Table clean when I’m not using it?
Cover the table with the included OuterShell® when it is not in use. The OuterShell® has magnetic flaps on either end that connect to magnets on the underside of the table. When not in use, the OuterShell® easily folds so you can place it in a clean, dry location.
