What is OuterWeave® made for?
OuterWeave® is a performance fabric designed for outdoor furniture, removable cushion covers, and everyday outdoor seating. It balances softness and comfort with resistance to water, stains, fading, mold, mildew, and regular outdoor wear.
Is OuterWeave® waterproof?
OuterWeave® is water-resistant, but it is not intended to serve as a complete waterproof barrier during prolonged or severe weather. Use the built-in OuterShell® between uses and an All-Weather Cover during heavier weather or extended periods of non-use.
Can OuterWeave® cushion covers be washed?
Yes. Removable OuterWeave® cushion covers are machine washable. Follow Outer’s care instructions, use cold water where directed, and allow the covers to air dry completely.
Does OuterWeave® resist fading?
OuterWeave® uses solution-dyed yarn to ensure long-lasting color and resistance to fading. Regular care and appropriate protection during long periods of non-use can further help preserve its appearance.
What is the difference between OuterWeave® and OuterShell®?
OuterWeave® is the soft performance fabric used on the cushion surface. OuterShell® is the patented built-in protective cover that rolls over the cushions between uses. They perform different roles and work together as part of Outer’s complete protection system.
